As promised, we’ve got the last installment in the hottest NBA dancers for the upcoming 2018-2019 season. I apologize that it took quite a while! Some of the teams had their auditions later in August, and we needed to wait for the selection processes to be complete.
In any case, here are the last 10 hotties to watch out for during this season’s NBA games:
1. Taylor Newman, Dallas Mavericks Dancers
This beautifully tan brunette is a rookie with the NBA dancers this year, and the Mavericks Dancers sure are lucky to have her. At a mere 20 years old, she’s already no rookie to cheering for basketball, though. Before this season, she was already a cheerleader in the NBA G League. She spent a season dancing for the Texas Legends, which is the minor league affiliate of the Mavericks.
It seems that dancing runs in her family, as her younger sister Tawni is also a member of her high school’s drill team.
2. Emma Vega, Cleveland Cavalier Girls
Another sunkissed beauty, Emma looks like a real-life, brown-eyed Barbie. Like the previous dancer on this list, she just turned 20 years old and is a full-time college student. Her Instagram stories paint a picture of a girl who pays attention to her health and fitness. She has her own YouTube channel as well, which is basically filled with beauty/fashion content, with occasional videos about personal experiences and her friends.
In a video she posted stating 50 facts about herself, she mentions that she loves kids and is studying to be a teacher. There are a lot of interesting tidbits about her on there, actually, so you might want to check it out over here. In the meantime, here are some more photos of Emma:
3. Julia Fife, Dallas Mavericks Dancers
Julia is the first of the veteran NBA dancers on this list. It looks like her second year with the Mavericks and in the NBA industry, but she’s been a cheerleader for longer than that. She was also a cheerleader during her college days at the University of Texas, where she proudly posted pictures cheering for the school’s basketball and football teams.
According to her Instagram bio, she’s represented by MSA Agency, a creative talent agency that represents and connects artists from around the world to relevant fields in the entertainment industry. We’re definitely excited to see Julia again at the Mavericks games this year.
4. Roxy Haserjian, Los Angeles Laker Girls
It looks like we’ve got another (sort of) rookie on our list, but this time with the Los Angeles Lakers. Roxy was a rookie NBA dancer for the LA Clippers Spirit back in the 2014-2015 season. She auditioned for the second year but unfortunately didn’t make it.
That didn’t dampen her love for the LA sports scene, however. She posts plenty of pictures in Lakers jerseys and attending both NBA and Stanley Cup games with her boyfriend. Her Instagram bio indicates that she’s pursuing a degree in Special Education, and she also actively advocates for autism awareness.
She’s a beautiful blonde, no wait, brunette…no, blonde. Honestly, I’m not entirely sure which one is her natural hair color but I know this: she looks great in both.
5. MaKayla, Los Angeles Laker Girls
Another Laker Girl, MaKayla is back for her third year as in the NBA dancers community. She’s got quite an impressive following on her Instagram and it’s not much of a surprise as to why. Her bio states that she’s being represented by Luciano Reeves Talent, a talent agency based in California.
She has plenty of commercial modeling pictures posted on her IG. In the past, she has participated in the annual Hooters swimsuit pageant. More recently, she and fellow Laker Girl Sydney McPherson were featured in drag queen Laganja Estranja’s new music video as her backup dancers.
6. Daniella Celia, Washington Wizards Dancers
Daniela is a serious dancer who’s now on her second year as a Wizards Dancer. On her personal website, she identifies herself as a dancer, artist, and creator. She started taking dance classes when she was three years old and that translated into a lifetime of passion.
Daniela danced competitively for 15 years and was also a member of her university’s dance team. She was a dancer and choreographer for the dance and cheer team. After graduating from Salisbury University, she began teaching and choreographing at Seaside Dance Academy and her alma mater, along with a few other schools in the city.
She is also working to reconcile dance with another of her passions – art. Her pieces reflect themes that she sees in the dance world as well.
7. Alex Vernon, Detroit Pistons Dancers
We’ve got a lot of rookies on our list, and Alex Vernon is another worthy name and face on our list of NBA dancers.
She graduated from Grand Valley State University in April 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Statistics.
At 23 years old, she’s already got a few years of professional dancing under her belt. For two seasons, she was part of the dance team for the Grand Rapids Drive, the Pistons minor league affiliate in the NBA G League. She has an obvious passion for dance and sports, as she also attends the Detroit Tigers baseball games.
8. Emma Rose, Chicago Luvabulls
Emma has a variety of talents, with dance being just one of them. Though she’s a rookie this year for the Luvabulls, she previously spent one season dancing for the Cleveland Cavaliers as well. She jokingly states in one of her social media posts that she’s “always the rookie, never the vet”. She’s been dancing for 20 years since she was three years old, and her talent shows in her pictures.
Apart from dancing, she’s also a photographer and an aspiring blogger. She has recently been working on revamping her website, E. Rose Media, where she maintains a blog, her photography portfolio, and a collection of her previously written works. She’s also got a sample of her YouTube videos, but it looks like she’s just starting out with that venture.
With a major in Public Relations and a minor in Dance, it seems only natural that she’s pursuing both her dreams simultaneously.
9. Gia Grimm, Philadelphia 76ers Dancers
Luckily for us, Gia is coming back for her second year with the Sixers Dancers. From what little we could gather about her from her social media, her dancing background is in classical ballet. She has had a few independent pictorials for some dance studios and photographers, like Bloch and Ignite Dance Co. We could also deduce that she’s currently dating someone who is in the military.
Unfortunately, there’s not much else we could dig up. But we do know that we’re lucky to be seeing her again this year.
10. Alise Garcia, Dallas Mavericks Dancers
Capping off the list, we’ve got our third – and last – Mavericks Dancer. Alise is a second year with the team. When she’s not with the NBA dancers, she is a member of the Apache Belles. As a matter of fact, her IG bio states that she’s the “69th line Apache Belle Dance Captain”. The Belles are the dance team based out of Tyler Junior College in Texas. They’ve performed at the Super Bowl, as well as games for the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Oilers, San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Mavericks, and Texas Rangers.
It seems that Alise is well on her way to making a career in dance.
See there you have it, folks! That completes our collections of NBA dancers to watch out for in the upcoming NBA season. I hope you’re as excited as I am! Just a little over a month left until the season opener on October 16, 2018.
