With the score tied at 90 and a mere 4 seconds left to play in the 4th quarter, it looked like Game 7 was going into overtime. The Raptors were on the inbound, Marc Gasol passes the ball off the Kawhi, who moves through both Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid as they attempt to defend him. With just 0.4 seconds left in the game, Kawi releases the ball in what looks to be a shaky jumper. Everyone is on their feet: fans in the Raptors homecourt, players on the bench, coaches, commentators, press and media, all waiting with bated breaths as the ball bounces on the ring once, twice, thrice, four times before finally falling into the basket. The stadium erupts and the game ends at 92 – 90 to the Toronto Raptors.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you make it into the NBA history books.
